he Semi-Race is aimed at skaters who want the comfort of a trainer with the performance of a speed skate. The skate uses Bonts’ famous one piece construction with a carbon composite base and patented 3 point mounting. It comes with Hyper Stripe 100mm wheels made in Italy, 6mm padding, and a thicker EVA foot bed. The boot comes with a heat moldable tongue and incorporates our super mold technology making it extremely heat moldable. The tongue is injection molded heat moldable EVA like the foot bed. The frame is 12.8” 3 point 6061 aluminum which weighs just 174 grams which is lighter than many pro racing frames on the market. A new last has been developed specifically for this skate. The boot is a lot stiffer than other skates in the Trainer market and the stiffness comes from within, so there is no need for an external brace to give the boot stiffness. This gives the skate a lot higher performance than other similar types of skates. The complete skate retails for US$399 and there are two choices of colors. There is also be a shorter 90mm version that retails for $379.

FEATURES

The Alpha is Bont’s first ever rec skate. The boot is a carbon composite boot that is fully heat moldable and incorporates our Super Mold Technology which makes it the most heat moldable rec skate on the market. The foot bed and tongue are also moldable.
The frame is an extruded 6000 series Aluminum S-frame with 1 piece axles that are machined, not punched. The aluminum spacers are also machined. Frame graphics use a heat print that has a UV scratch proof coating.
The wheels are a choice of XTR 90mm Racing wheels or 84mm wheel. The bearings are ABEC 5 bearings.

Vaypor

The 2008 Vaypor is the Official Race Boot of Team Bont Wheels and many other national teams around the world. This year, we offer 3 genuine Australian leather options. Two in black and one in white. The other colors are made with our shiny microfiber outer. Both are long lasting. The boot is available in a number of configurations, the biggest choice you will have to make is weather you want 2 or 3 point boots. Bont’s new 2 point magnesium Sniper Evo4 is available in 195mm separation and makes for a very light weight and strong combo when matched up with the Vaypor. The Vaypor can also be made in 165mm for inline or a super stiff version for Short Track.
